As a result of low temperatures, sparkling wines produced in the UK are threatened with stunting.

After almost 4 months of Brexit,  the outlook for UK sparkling wine exports to the European Union looks grim.

New customs paperwork and labeling requirements for imports into the EU add £ 5 to the cost of a bottle of English sparkling wine at retail in Europe.

Even so, the sparkling wine industry in England has grown rapidly in the last 5 years. 10 million bottles are produced a year and could go up to 25 million bottles a year if the weather permits.
